Notes from Lastslate
Why we built an AI collaborator that reads every line of your screenplay and writes none of it.
Lastslate comes to Windows
The modern screenplay editor now runs on Windows 10 and 11 — the same app as the Mac version, released together with the same version number, signed installer and all. Same promise, too: your scripts never train AI.
Read → PhilosophyYou keep the pen
Every writing tool is racing to generate. We built the opposite on purpose: an AI that reads every line of your screenplay and writes none of them. And we built the app so we can't quietly change our mind.
Read → How it worksWhat a good reader sees that you can't
You're the worst reader of your own script — you know too much. Four ways our AI reads it the way a stranger would: the fresh audience, the big picture, scene by scene, and voice and beats.
Read →Write the screenplay. Keep your voice.
Lastslate reads every line of your script and surfaces the problems you can't see — without writing a page of it for you.
