Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy is from

"Lastslate" is a macOS application published by Uniqlabs LLC ("Uniqlabs", "the company"). This policy describes how Uniqlabs handles personal information collected by the Lastslate desktop app, the marketing website at lastslate.com, and any related paid services.

2. The short version

• Your scripts stay on your Mac. The editor reads and writes files on local disk. Nothing is uploaded by default.
• Cloud backup is opt-in. Available on the Hobbyist tier and above. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest.
• AI features are opt-in. Available on the Pro tier. Prompts and the relevant excerpt of your script are sent to the AI provider only when you invoke an AI action.
• No model training on your work. Uniqlabs does not use your scripts, prompts, or completions to train any AI model, and contracts AI providers that do not either.
• No ad tracking, no third-party analytics SDKs in the desktop app.

3. What the desktop app collects

3.1 Local-only data (never leaves your Mac)

Open documents, version history, recent-files list, preferences, sprint stats, and any unsaved drafts are kept on your local disk under your user account. Uniqlabs has no access to these unless you opt into cloud backup.

3.2 Account & subscription (only if you sign in)

To activate Hobbyist or Pro, you sign in with an email address. The company stores: your email, hashed authentication credentials, the active tier, and the current billing period. Payment is processed by a third-party payment processor — Uniqlabs does not see or store full card numbers.

3.3 Cloud backup (Hobbyist tier and above)

When you enable backup for a project, that project's files and version history are uploaded to encrypted storage. Files are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Backup runs in the background; you can disable it per project at any time.

3.4 AI features (Pro tier)

When you ask the collaborator a question, run AI Rewrite, or otherwise invoke an AI action, the following is sent to the AI provider for the duration of that request: the relevant excerpt of your script, your prompt, and the conversation context for that session. Nothing is sent if you do not invoke an AI action.

4. What the website collects

The marketing site at lastslate.com is a static page served via Cloudflare. Cloudflare logs request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for abuse prevention and rate limiting; those logs are kept by Cloudflare under their privacy terms. No third-party analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or marketing cookies are loaded.

5. Third parties

The company shares data with a small set of subprocessors, only as needed to operate the service:

• Hosting & CDN — Cloudflare (website and edge for the app's API).
• Authentication & backup storage — Supabase (account records, encrypted project backups).
• Payments — the third-party payment processor disclosed at checkout.
• AI providers — used only when a Pro user invokes an AI action; covered by contracts that prohibit training on customer content.

Uniqlabs does not sell personal information, does not share it with advertisers, and does not use it to build advertising audiences.

6. How long things are kept

• Local files — for as long as you keep them on your Mac.
• Account records — for the life of the account, plus a short retention window after deletion for billing reconciliation.
• Cloud backups — until you delete the project, cancel backup for that project, or close your account.
• AI request logs — short-lived, retained briefly for abuse prevention and debugging; not used for training.

7. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information Uniqlabs holds about you. You can export your scripts at any time from inside the app — they are already files on your disk. To close your account and erase server-side data, email the address below.

Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), the EEA/UK (GDPR), and similar jurisdictions have additional rights including data portability and the right to object to certain processing. The company honors verified requests regardless of where you live.

8. Children

Lastslate is not directed at children under 13, and Uniqlabs does not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, please contact the company so it can be removed.

9. Changes to this policy

Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and where appropriate, an in-app or email notice before the change takes effect.
